Cruel to be kind – Book Reveiw

This is the latest book to be written by Cathy Glass. Cathy is a well known author who also fosters children in need of a home on a long or short term basis. All the information in the book is true although names have to be changed to protect confidentiality of the child and family involved.
Anyone who has previously read any of Cathys books will know that they are gripping and you want to keep reading to find out what happens next.

I don’t want to spoil the book for you so I will leave some mystery

This book tells the story of Max a young boy who’s mum has had to go into hospital for a operation and he needs someone to care for him until she’s recovered, however Max has health issues of his own. They are very deeply routed through the family but something they need to address as Max tries to improve his health he’s caught in a continuous battle between his family, his head and his heart. With many ups and downs for Max and the family you really do feel like you are on the personal journey with them.
Overall I personally enjoyed the book,  however having read all of Cathy Glass’s books I was disappointed that it didn’t fall in the order of which the children had been fostered but well worth a read.
